The WIERD would sincerely like to thank everyone who made Friday's concert at The Music Hall of Williamsburg such a great night, so nice everyone came out of the woodVRork from all the different phases of the WIERD's life - the Ivy South/DJ Gilles/Decadanse period, South Side Lounge and Home Sweet Home years crowds were all one big Very Rare family finally!

Needless to say the WIERD rolls on forward through the cold and this week's performance I know many of you have been looking forward to for years as we proudly welcome cult minimal electronic artists Perfect Jewish Couple from Cincinatti, Ohio! You know the trax as we play them in the foggy haze every week, now check them out in the WIERD World Live. Also this week we're excited to welcome back that mysteriously elusive creature of the New York night ANAREXIA to guest DJ the classic frozen coldies!, so dress to repress or expect the cold fierce stare of our beloved Oedipus Anarex!...as you leave blinded with pleasure!

On a different note soon after the holiday weekend we'll have the website updated with many new releases including the long-awaited 18 track debut CD from Opus Finis 'Pursue the Tragic Tune', the 12 track CDr version of Martial Canterel's recently sold out cassette release on Chondritic Sound, Ann Arbor entitled 'Cruelty Frames Our Age' on Xanten Records, Martial Canterel's debut LP from 2005 on Genetic Music, Germany 'Confusing Outsides', Sleep Museum's new CD on Bloodlust, Chicago entitled 'Home', the debut CD from our fave Italian cold guitar wave band who blew us all away back in August Moldig featuring Glenn from Blacklist on drums, and finally we now have available a hard copy 2 x CDr version of both the WIERD Compilations Vols. I and II! There's plenty more to come so stay VRuned...
