This week WIERD proudly welcomes the long-overdue return of our old beloved friend FUTILITY for his first ever live debut performance at midnight! The Very Rare alchemical genius of all things analogos has kindly flown in from his new home in minimal electronic Portland to play a set of his newest trax a few more of which have just gone up on his site for your pleasure. Also I hope a few of you may remember David was the genius who threw together impromptu in about 8 minute the first prototype of the custom VR frozen ghetto rig we stuill use to pump the Vague Froides through the speakers at HSHome, thus allowing us to have bands play live...so you can all thank Mr. Lacy for the what in a few weeks will be over 100 live performance gigs we've done in the club since!
In the spirit of my fave NYC website where you can find out why the Empire State building is lit up in the colors it is in the NYC skyline each and every evening, perhaps maybe a few of you like minded nerdelectronix Wierdos feel(apart from various idiosyncratic loner-predecessors such as Mick Milk and Glenn Winter) the particular influence of the Italian tradition in David's trax - that seething, feverish and frenetic anarchic explosive energy of the masters such as Carmody, Chromagain, and the great Weimar Gesang. So as the streets and architecture of my fave Italowave cities Naples and Venice dictate - tonite's lights on stage will be flashing classic 16th century Neopolitan yellow and gold...slide on in and feel the crystalline Camorrawaves shining cold!...VR:
