Hello lovely young WIERDos of the world, I am pleased to officially announce its that Very Rare time of the year we can certainly proclaim as 'High Season' in the Wierd, the moment marked by the VRannual gesture of removing ones air conditioning unit from the window and thereby unleashing the pleasures of the Cold to escape back into the world where they belong...in other words the plethoric onslaught of musical Very Rarities coming in the next 2 months is quite exciting to say the least!

I wanted to give an advance heads up to everyone about a very special Wierd-related event coming to the city during this years CMJ music festival next month as our friend BRIAN PARSONS will be debuting his fantastic new feature-length documentary film about the current state of underground independent music the world over 'In Search of Sound' at The legendary ivory tower of VR cinema Anthology Film Archives on Saturday afternoon October 24th at 1pm.

The main theatre space at Anthology only holds 200 people so everyone interested in attending should contact Anthology for advance tickets asap, Brian tells me there are still seats available.
Wierd will be hosting the Saturday evening private afterparty to celebrate this momentous occasion, more details to come on this in the coming weeks...
Lastly all you Froide-minded Quebequois wave groupies(you know who you are..) will be pleased to hear we have now confirmed the next rather epic 'Wierd Presents' concert sponsored by WBAR/Barnard College radio, Columbia University on Friday evening October 9th! Xavier and company will be in town all week along with Neon Weltian master M. Plastikmann from Germany and Mz. Margo from San Francisco so this one will be quite the cold WIERD evening of evenings as the Wierd goes 'Uptown' for the first time since April:
