Tonite Wierd welcomes the weekly party debut of Medio Mutante from Texas for a live performance at midnight! Mariana, Seth and José are part of a slowly growing great new dusty synth/wave scene thats been festering up down in frozen hot Houston for quite some time that includes the likes of Tense, Twisted Wires and Indian Jewelry and MM shows in NYC are certainly a rarity indeed. Unlike few other new, young bands MM tap into the Very Rare sound of classic Spanish minimal electronics from the likes of the greats Aviador Dro, Liaisons Dangereuses, Los Iniciados, or Oviformia Sci and have a killer, cold aggressive sound quite their own at the moment! Also tonite Mr. Canterel makes a long-overdue drive-by-WIERDing in the jag for one of his high-end-heavy-lo-fi-fuck-all DJ sets...doesn't get any dark and lusty than this.
