WIERD Presents a Very Rare live performance by LED ER EST!

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010

Well after that inTENSE Texas Tornado blew through the WIERD World last week seems safe to say heat-seeking hedonistic summer pleasure is the theme of the moment, and tonite it undoubtedly continues as we're proud to welcome back our forever beloved heroes of the dark and dirty, psychedelic electronic night LED ER EST for a live performance at midnight! The young alien gentlemen from the planet of Orange just released a killer new split LP on the always excellent Mannequin Records label in Rome, Italy and will be debuting these new trax for the first time including the neon beaming floor-torcher 'Lonesome XOXO' as well as those off their Captured trax 7" including the icily brittle tear-jerker 'Man and Tree'...The CT7 trax appear on the new CD version of 'Dust On Common' just out on the WIERD and we have a ton of copies of the new Italian LP just in, should be up on the wierdsite few dazzze...so come on down to our lovely little echo chamber tonite where the ('world') remains forever in parentheses thank god, and hearem all alive in the flesh, yesss...VR. http://www.myspace.com/lederest

I'm happy to say the 2nd Automelodi 'Wierd Presents:' show next month is now set for Friday evening July 23rd at Glasslands in the BK, where the band will be supporting Martial Canterel, as well as a night long frozen hot danceparty to follow with DJs Mike Sniper of Blank Dogs and Ms. Katie Rose of Further Reductions!...needless to say Monsieur Paradis and co. sightings in NYC are a Very Rarity indeed, and this new LP due out July 13th is quite an amazingly fragile monster of truly refined electronic craftsmanship, can't wait to play it for the world!

And just 2 weeks to go until the 2nd new WIERD release 'The Brutal Wave' by Frank(justFrank) enters into the mysterious airwaves of spatio-temporal abstraction! The debut single 'Couer Hanté' is now available for free download over at Stereogum along with a nice introductory piece on the band by Brandon Stosuy: http://stereogum.com/414572/band-to-watch-frank-just-frank/franchises/band-to-watch/
