WIERD Presents a very rare performance by MIRRORGATE!
Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011
Tonight WIERD welcomes the weekly party debut of MIRRORGATE for a live performance at midnight! Mirrorgate is composer Mario Diaz de León and Doron Sadja's foray into dense, atmospheric soundscapes of expansively baroque guitars and multilayered, feverishly restrained electronics. The band's elusively hybridized sound is evidence of a closing of the gap between the new cold wave/shoegaze informed strain of black metal rearing its head in Very Rare shadowy corners of Brooklyn and France alike the past few years(Alcest, Amesoeurs, Vaura, Liturgy, Anthem) with the raw, blistery electricity of classic minimal synth, and is sure to be a freshly fertile field of sound we've never heard before in the Wierd World!
