Thee Abstraction of Oolong is thee Victorian Sensibility Suggests 'Everything' is never 'Something' at WIERD
Tuesday March 7th, 2006
Well dahlings it really takes a truly Very Rare event to silence thee hysterical babbling rants of the WIERD, but I can honestly say this week is the case. This Sunday night March 12th sees the inauguration of the Miguel Abreu Gallery on Orchard Street on the LES in what the WIERD predicts should be the most radical visual propostion a gallery has presented in as long as we can remember, and as if that wasn't already enough Miguel's first exhibition will feature works by none other than the WIERD's resident visual iconoclast extrordinaire, the artist formerly known as 'Thee Master of Materialist Abstraction' Mr. Blake Rayne!!! So please come out of your sell-foam-encrusted cubicles of Abstraction for this event Sunday evening and the Very Rare afterparty at Les Enfants Terribles (Corner of Canal/Ludlow Streets, NYC) where the WIERD will present a special all Frenchwave evening from 10pm-2am, an event truly not to be missed. Tonite, March 7th WIERD welcomes NYC's new Diva of Dark Synth, and the better half of the amazing cold duo 'Xeno and Oaklander' Miss Liz Wendelbo, who's upcoming singles 'Non Senti' and "Ktano' we predict will sprout uncontrollable icicle storms on the European dancefloors beginning this May when the first WIERD compilation drops in invisible abstract record stores near you... and stay tuned for next week when I'll unveil my new treatise on thee radically important significance of the fact that the demographic of 17-27 yr olds, no longer move their lips when they speak, thus the apocalyptic beginnings of the end of the 'Voice Recognition Systems'... continue to fight the forces of Abstraction, and be WIERD...
